The aim of the Social Pedagogy and Legal Fundamentals programme offered at Mykolas Romeris University is to educate the students in the area of social pedagogy in accordance with the European standards.

About

The Social Pedagogy and Legal Fundamentals programme is offered at Mykolas Romeris University. It is the only Bachelor programme in Lithuania that is aimed at Children's Rights to Protection. After graduation you will be able to: tackle with arising arguments and use the most innovative assistance strategies; gather community for teamwork and effective social pedagogy assistance; plan and implement various projects – it will help to ensure a self-sufficient workplace; plan a career of your own or of others by distinguishing objectives of career, applying couching strategies.

Career prospects

Graduates of the programme will be able to work at: children's rights protection institutions, family support, educational and other public institutions (schools of various types, vocational training centres, preschools, etc.), education departments, pedagogical-psychological services, rehabilitation and special care centres, hospitals. They will be able to work as entrepreneurs as well.

Academic Requirements

  • Enrolment into undergraduate studies is carried out on the basis of competition, with high education attainment, academic achievements and results of entrance exams (in those cases that those exams are organised) and other criterions formulated by MRU taken into consideration. 
  • Higher education organisations (together with the Ministry of Education and Science) identify principles of composition of a score for competition according to directions of studies and also identify the main subject.
