This Biology - Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Concentration program offered at Saint Mary's College gives you the foundations of biology and research methodology. Courses focus on genetics, ecology and botany, and animal biology. Labs designed for each subject give you experience in your field. Get hands-on experience by taking a trip to Ecuador in a three-credit course where you observe plant and wildlife in four distinct habitats in the Galapagos.

For your senior comprehensive, you’ll work closely with a faculty advisor on independent research of your choice. Throughout your project you’ll demonstrate your understanding of current biological principles and the scientific method. You’ll utilize skills learned through field and laboratory courses. Your findings are presented to the biology department at the conclusion of your research.
