The Business and Marketing programme is offered at University of the West of Scotland. Specialist marketing modules are complemented by a range of general business modules, which help to underpin your marketing knowledge. Economics, accounting, human resource management and law will provide you with the skills required to excel in a marketing career.

You will develop communication skills including presentation techniques, selling and negotiating to prepare you for a wide range of marketing positions.

Programme Structure

The BA Business & Marketing allows you to tailor your degree to focus on areas that are related to your future career aspirations including branding, digital marketing, international marketing and market research. 

In years 3 and 4 you will deepen your knowledge of marketing principles and spend time with employers, providing marketing support in a live business environment. You will also complete a dissertation on a topic of interest.

  • Minimum required score (Grade B2):

    C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

    Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

The Scottish Government does not provide any statutory student funding for international students studying in Scotland.
