The B.A. in Music at University of Lynchburg is ideal for those students that are passionate about music and have a high level of musical competence in either instrumental or vocal performance.


The Music program offered by University of Lynchburg offers two emphases in Music and Music Education. 

The Music emphase offers a concentrated study in instrumental and vocal performance and liberal arts. The music education major offers emphases in instrumental education and vocal education.

You will have the chance to perform in a variety of student musical groups, as well as in off-campus productions, including with a local opera company and symphony.


Whether they choose to further their education in graduate school or not (40% do), our graduates get jobs in areas like professional performance, theatre, and teaching.
