Overview

The program for our human resource management major (BA) and minor helps you take an active role in your education, including working for local companies on human resource management issues.

The SOBE core classes will give you a solid foundation of business knowledge. Courses in business administration and management will complete the program – courses like operations management; the legal environment of business; and principles of management and organizational behavior.

So that you’ll be prepared for whatever human resource management job you enter, our program includes experiential learning opportunities, including an internship.

The internship is an important part of our major because employers are becoming more selective as competition for jobs increases. You’ll go to interviews with an edge because you’ll already be prepared with practical work experience.
