The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance provides students with individualized attention in the creative disciplines of music, theater and dance. For students interested in music, we foster an understanding and appreciation of a wide variety of music through study, instrumental and vocal training and performance. 

Overview

In addition to the traditional B.A. in theatre arts, which offers a survey of courses covering acting, stagecraft and theater history, our students may pursue individual concentrations in acting and technical theater. These concentrations offer the highest levels of creative work and opportunities to work with professional in the industry.

General Requirements

  • Common Application.
  • $50 application fee.
  • Official high school transcript, including grades from the senior year.
  • Two letters of recommendation (one from a guidance counselor and one from the teacher of your choice).
  • Personal essay.
  • SAT/ACT scores (our CEEB code is 3759). Please note that scores are optional unless you are applying as a nursing or education major.
  • Home-schooled applicants must submit a copy of all course descriptions and a portfolio of work.
