The Printmaking program at Eastern Oregon University is housed in Loso Hall and has grown to include Intaglio, Polyester Plate Lithography, Relief Printmaking, Screen Printing and Monotype. There is an emphasis on non-toxic approaches to each type of printmaking, and digital imaging is part of the core of most every course.

While the printmaking philosophy at Eastern is progressive and experimental, emphasizing non-toxic material and integrating digital imaging, our model includes the best that traditional methods have to offer.

Program Overview

The main studio will allow three to four students to work simultaneously in comfort. There is a spacious work area next to the press room that is available during class and at other times for preparation work and drawing.

All of Eastern’s class sizes are small with a cap of 14 students in the printmaking courses. This unique situation provides consistency with one-on-one instruction and there is little competition for resources among students.

Students in good standing and that are enrolled in courses or independent studies in the Printmaking program at Eastern Oregon University are given liberal access to all facilities related to the printmaking processes.

Eastern Oregon University and the art program faculty encourage students to take advantage of all that the facilities have to offer the development of their creative voices.
