Overview

The International Economics programme offered by Jönköping University gives you good knowledge of statistics and econometrics. 

These courses give you the skills and tools needed to process and analyse statistics which are increasingly in demand today. 

The programme also includes four courses (30 credits) in business administration, addressing various aspects such as leadership and accounting. Together, the combination of economics, statistics and business forms a good and broad foundation for future career choices and gives you an competitive edge when applying for jobs.

The programme attracts students from all over the world and will give you essential experience and skills in collaborating with individuals from many different cultures.

After graduation

With an undergraduate degree in economics from this programme, you will be eligible for many entry-level professional jobs that require knowledge of economics, statistical analysis, and business in varying areas, such as environmental management, health, finance, regional development, or business development.

Future work tasks might include doing investigations to gather data and perform market analyses, managing financial assets in private companies such as banks and financial institutions, or working on economic or strategic planning projects within public organisations such as governmental or municipal agencies.

In addition, there are possibilities to work within international organisations such as the EU, the UN, or the OECD. Alumni of this programme are currently working as business developers, market analysts, and investment analysts, among other occupations.
