The media landscape is constantly changing, so you’ll map it out to understand its complexity and impact, gaining vital practical, professional and creative skills for employment – and life.

In your final year, you’ll apply these skills across major projects in research and production. You’ll have the freedom to pursue areas and ideas which interest you, showcasing your creative, practical and academic abilities.

Real-world experience will be at the heart of your university experience, preparing you for graduate career success. You’ll complete two professional work placements during your degree, working on live media projects with employers from the media industry. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our in-house production company Trinity Vision, gaining practical experience in camera skills, editing and new media.

A number of Media students have gone onto postgraduate study at Leeds Trinity. Some have wanted to continue their passion for the subject by completing the Masters by Research degree, others have widened their skillset by studying for the MA in Journalism, MA in Creative Writing or the MA Marketing degree, whilst some have opted for careers in teaching by completing a PGCE.

You'll graduate with a range of skills that will prepare you for a successful career in television, film, radio, advertising, marketing and education. Many of our graduates have set up their own businesses and work for a wide range of companies, such as the BBC, Sky and ITV.
