About

From your first semester in the Media Communication program from Doane University, you'll learn how to gather news, investigate hard-hitting stories, cover live events, shoot and edit video, gather and edit audio and even host a radio show.

Overview

At Doane University, we prefer hands-on learning. As a Media Communication major, you will have a chance to be published in the Owl, our weekly student newspaper.

You will have the opportunity to be an online storyteller, posting video or print stories on the Doane Line, the student-produced website. You'll learn the ins and outs of radio as a DJ, music director or promotions manager. Photographers, writers and graphic designers can also submit to 1014 Magazine; a feature magazine published once a semester.
