Key facts
As the name indicates, the Creative Media and Game Technologies (Short Degree Programme) at Saxion University of Applied Sciences will teach you everything you want to know about creative media and game technologies. In the first year you can experiment with different roles and choose the one that is best suited for you. Depending on your preference you will either move in the direction of interactive media in general or specialize in games.
After graduation
The professional field you will enter, is very wide and incredibly international. There are many well-known companies where you can get started, but there are also exciting small companies you could join. With CMGT you can also start your own business. A degree in CMGT prepares you for a range of jobs such as game designer, animator, VR/AR designer, art director and many more.
With your qualifications you can chose from a wide range of professions such as:

Programme Structure
The one-year short degree programme for Creative Media and Game Technologies is divided into two periods. In the first half year you study degree-related subjects, work on projects and draw up your individual learning plan. This period looks like this:
- Compression assessment and compressed topics of CMGT
- Project
- Research
- Specialisation – personal individual focus subjects

General requirements
- The student must be admissible to Higher Education through a diploma with good results at least equivalent to the Dutch havo, vwo or mbo4 for our bachelor programmes and 4 years hbo for our master programmes.
If you want to apply for a short degree programme, the following entry requirements are also applicable:
- Having completed a minimum of three years of higher education in the discipline of further study.
- Or a Bachelor Degree in a related field of study.
