Overview
This dynamic Hotel and Catering Management programme from the Atlantic Technological University gives the learner an industry-focused curriculum which will address both theoretical and practical concepts of the hospitality industry.
Teaching is delivered through a range of practical and academic learning styles to maximise the student learning experience. Lecturers who teach on this programme are highly skilled professionals with many years industry experience. This award provides graduates with the skills and competencies to manage/operate medium-sized enterprises within the hospitality and tourism industry.
Work Placements
At the end of Year 1 - students will undertake a mandatory 12-week work placement in Ireland. At the end of Year 2 - students will undertake a mandatory 30-week work placement internationally. - The minimum Leaving Certificate entry requirement for all Higher Certificates (Level 6) and ab initio Bachelor degrees (Level 7) is Grade O6/H7 or better in five Leaving Certificate subjects including Mathematics and English or Irish with a minimum of 160 points.
