The Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel Management (Hons) from the Atlantic Technological University is a four-year full time programme. This programme has a long-established excellent reputation and was the first hotel management degree to be offered in Ireland.

Career Opportunities

Graduates will have excellent employment opportunities, at various levels of employment, in all aspects of the hospitality and tourism industry at home and abroad.

Alternatively, graduates may specialise in specific areas such as marketing, finance, human resources, operations management to name but a few within the service industries.

Work Placements

At the end of Year 1 - students will undertake a mandatory 12-week work placement in Ireland. At the end of Year 2 - students will undertake a mandatory 30-week work placement internationally. Our industry Links Office, together with the academic team, will assist students in making the best possible choices for their placements.

  • The general minimum Leaving Certificate entry requirement is a Grade O6/H7 or better in six Leaving Certificate subjects including English or Irish and Mathematics, two of which must be passed in higher level papers at Grade H5 or higher.
