Overview

The BA in Design (Hons) from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology is an exciting new course emphasising both traditional and modern-day skills. You will learn the methods and techniques to research, develop and realise your individual creative vision as a designer, problem-solver and entrepreneur. It also features a five-month industry placement.

Teaching will take place in studio workshops, demonstrations, lectures, seminars, field trips and one-to-one tutorials preparing you for professional life in a design studio, working individually or as part of a team. The course begins with a foundation year, followed a choice of creative pathways which may include, Graphic Design & Illustration; Animation & Game Design; Industrial Design; Textiles & Fashion.
