The Vocal Performance program at California Baptist University is one of the most progressive music programs on the West Coast. Beyond merely entertaining audiences, students are encouraged to engage passionately in their music—to truly communicate a mastery of experience and emotion.

About

Students also have the opportunity to share music in a number of venues, ranging from intimate church sanctuaries to celebrated concert halls. With each performance, students develop the charisma to communicate personally with the audience and take them to a higher level of self-discovery and awareness.

Why study the Vocal Performance program at California Baptist University?

In every class, every rehearsal, every performance, students are held to higher standards that will encourage them to develop and expand their God-given gifts and ultimately share them with others.

CBU's music classroom style is often referred to as conservatory—intimate, challenging and rigorous—but unlike typical music conservatories that preserve the past with a traditional repertoire, CBU's music is forward-looking to engage both musicians and audiences in the contemporary enjoyment of the art.
