Overview
The Library and Information Science (Honours) programme from University of Namibia develops first professional level library and information workers with the knowledge and skills that are critical, pro-active and adaptive regarding meeting the information needs of organisations and individuals in different contexts in society. The programme produces professionals who work in the book industry, information/ knowledge management environments as well as the digital information sector.
Learning outcomes
The participants of this programme will have the capacity and ability to exercise professional judgment concerning tasks and responsibilities in the libraries and information management work.

- To register for an undergraduate degree programme, a minimum of 25 points on the UNAM Evaluation Points Scale in five (5) best subjects (of which English must be one). English as a Second Language at NSSCO level with a minimum C symbol, or English as a First Language at NSSCO level with a minimum D symbol.

- Medical Certificate (original)

- Admission letter from UNAM
- Proof of Registration from UNAM
- Proof of accommodation in Namibia
- Completed main application form and visa form
- Police Clearance from home country (compulsory)
