Overview
In addition to career training, the Department of Dance of Utah Valley University provides opportunities for all interested students to explore the many forms of dance as elective and/or general education credit. The study of dance offers personal and cultural enrichment for majors and non-majors alike and allows students to augment their physical and theoretical skill as they study dance in relationship to the self, society, and other arts and disciplines.

The graduates of the Bachelor in Dance - Dance Educationn program can find careers as public and private school teachers, college and university educators (requires graduate degree), professional performers and choreographers, dance historian and critics, administrators, dance therapists, professionals in the field of somatics, researchers, notators, movement analysts, private studio owners, and health and fitness consultants.
