The Quantity Surveying (Hons) program offered by Waterford Institute of Technology is using industry leading software and progressive teaching methods distilled by Lecturers with decades of combined industry and academic experience.
Our program boasts a 100% Graduate Employment record for each of the last nine academic years, placing our graduates amongst the most highly sought after in the industry. Students will be able to communicate effectively, have a working knowledge of relevant Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).
The course provides students with 30 weeks paid work placement in top tier local and internationally based Contracting and Professional Quantity Surveying firms in year three of the programme and is fully accredited by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) allowing our graduates to progress and become Chartered Quantity Surveyors on completion of this programme.
Our graduates can expect a career as a highly valued and integral member of the Design Team on construction projects of all sectors and values both nationally and internationally. They key values of the BSc (Honours) in Quanity Surveying are of cost management, contractual knowledge, negotiation skills and ability to communicate, all of which are an integral part of the course we offer here at WIT.
