You will receive multidisciplinary training in areas such as microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinstrumentation, in vitro culture and bioreactor operation, as well as techniques for bioenergy and biomaterial production, environmental bioremediation and aquatic organism production. 

You will also learn the technical fundamentals of engineering for the design and use of facilities and equipment in the biotechnology industry and for the application of biotechnology in environmental recovery and improvement.

The programme includes fieldwork, laboratory and computer modeling practicals that provide training in technology, applied biology and the economic viability of companies in the sector.

Admission requirements:
  • Students from the education systems of EU member states or any other country that has signed a reciprocity agreement with Spain may apply for admission directly, without the need to sit the PAU, provided they meet the academic requirements in force in their own education systems to attend university.
  • These students must have adequate knowledge of the language in which the courses will be taught. The Spanish National Distance Education University (UNED) is responsible for verifying these admission requirements.
