The Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising program at Central Washington University gives students a thorough background in the business aspects of the fashion industry, developing skills in fashion theory; creativity; merchandising; retail operations; buying strategies; technology; fashion forecasting; and target markets.

The apparel, textiles, and merchandising major combines fashion, business and creativity to foster students personal goals. Students immerse themselves in chosen interest areas where they learn, understand and apply new knowledge to the many facets of the apparel industry.

  • Submit a non-refundable $60 application fee.
  • When applying online, you must submit the fee through your application portal or uploan an application fee waiver. Common fee waivers include ACT/SAT, TRiO, or other college support programs.
  • Submit an official high school transcript.
  • Transcripts will be considered official only when sent directly from the institution to Central Washington University via the address below. In-progress transcripts will be used to evaluate applications. Final official transcripts must be submitted upon completion of course of study and must include graduation date.
