Humans are fascinating. If you’re interested in learning how people interact, behave and function in society—within groups large and small—a sociology bachelor of science or arts would appeal to you.

While you earn a B.S. degree sociology at ACU, you’ll gain an understanding of our social world—how and why it’s changing. You’ll examine relationships between people in their communities, families, churches, workplaces and other groups. Through a sociology B.S., you’ll develop an appreciation for diversity and hone skills in research, writing, data analysis, problem solving and critical thinking. In our information-oriented society, these diverse qualities will make you valuable to organizations of all kinds.

What can sociology majors do? The answer is a variety of diverse career paths. Possibilities include a career as a human resource manager, statistician, social media strategist, social researcher, career counselor, consumer researcher, housing coordinator, substance abuse counselor, public relations associate and foreign service officer.

  • Send your official high school and/or college transcript(s) to the Office of Admissions.
  • Request your ACT and/or SAT scores be sent to ACU. ACT and/or SAT writing score is recommended.
  • Once we receive the above items, you will be considered for admission to ACU. You will be notified of your admissions status according to when your application was completed.
  • Should you be granted admission, you will be given access to confirm your admission, pay your enrollment deposit and submit your Housing Preference Form.
