Overview

The Theatre Arts Production program of Bradley University develops your talent through a series of courses focused on stage visuals. You learn costumes, design and lighting in addition to acting basics. Once you audition, submit a portfolio and are admitted to the program, a freshman showcase puts you in the spotlight during your first semester. After that, you participate in several major productions each year. You also can take a class trip to see backstage operations at Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. Away from the classroom stage, you can participate in a student-run improve troupe and other theatre-focused student organizations. Theatre arts also offers a general degree and a concentration in performance.

Successful Outcomes

Bradley’s theatre arts production program successfully prepares you for a career in the industry or graduate school. In recent years, all students found jobs within six months of graduation. They’re working at Chicago’s Northlight and Lookinglass Theatres, Chicago Spotlight and Crate and Barrel. Others are continuing their education at Florida State University and Penn State University.
