Program Description

If you’re a detail-oriented, problem-solving computer wonk with an interest in business, the General Information Systems program at Auburn University at Montgomery might be the perfect fit for you. You’ll be ready to work as an IS or IT manager, research analyst, business application developer, Internet or intranet manager, or management consultant. Points of Pride

The Department’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Information Systems degree is approved and accredited by the prestigious AACSB International, which accredits only 10% of the business schools around the world.

Class sizes are generally small so that students get individual attention from our faculty. Nine full-time Ph.D. professors and one instructor with a master’s degree teach the courses.

Put Your Degree to Work

Note: While salaries vary depending on several factors including your level of experience, education and training, and geography and industry, here is a sampling of the future job growth and salaries in this area.

A degree in Information Systems will provide you with a breadth of career choices, including web developer, systems analyst, process analyst, database analyst, technology trainer and more. Job growth in management occupations is predicted to be about average — six percent from 2014 to 2024. Salary expectations, however, will be far higher than average. Management occupations have the highest annual wage of the major occupational groups — a median annual wage of $97,230 in May 2014.
