Overview
Nursing - Pre-Licensure from Morehead State University curriculum is a combination of science, math and nursing courses designed to give you a well-rounded education and to prepare you to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
Nursing - Pre-Licensure students at Morehead State University will learn by doing, not only through clinical practicums, but in the department's state-of-the-art simulation lab. In the lab, computerized mannequins can mimic a number of illnesses and symptoms, and respond to treatments administered by students.
The BSN Pre-Licensure program has a selective admissions process, and a limited number of students are accepted each year.

- According to the 2011 Bureau of Labor statistics (BLS) report, Registered Nurses comprise the greatest number of healthcare professionals with a total employment of approximately 2.6 million jobs. The Registered Nurse (RN) has a panoramic set of responsibilities.
- The RN is responsible for treating patients, educating patients, families and the public, helping perform and analyze diagnostic tests and administering treatment and medications. The RN will also work to teach patients and their families topics such as diet, exercise, nutrition and self medication administration.
