In addition, theatre students can acquire credit through their participation and performance in several major productions staged by the department each year.

Providing training for more than 25 years, the Theatre Major is the only one outside the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island region offering a full range of university-level theatre arts courses.

Many graduates of Theatre Arts program at Thompson Rivers University   continue to perform and train in professional and community capacities long after finishing their theatre arts major.

    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

General Requirements

  •  Grade 12 (or equivalent) or mature student status
  •  English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a minimum of 73% (or equivalent)
  • Admission to each major program may have specific requirements.
  • Recommended: Mathematics 11 or higher is strongly recommended for students pursuing Education or a major in Geography and Environmental Studies, Sociology or Psychology High school graduates can apply and be admitted to this program while upgrading at TRU.
