Overview

Students of  Communication  degree from the Thompson Rivers University  choose to focus on either public relations or new media studies. Study and practice from multiple perspectives: processes, production, composition, design, broadcasting, policy/law, criticism and critique.

  • Communication and New Media Studies: This stream covers the aesthetic, narrative and theoretical aspects of technology, as well as computer-mediated communication. If you have an interest in the ways technology, design and business interact, this program is for you.

  • Admission to each major program may have specific requirements.
  • Recommended: Mathematics 11 or higher is strongly recommended for students pursuing Education or a major in Geography and Environmental Studies, Sociology or Psychology
  • High school graduates can apply and be admitted to this program while upgrading at TRU
