Overview

The Art Education department's award-winning faculty all professional artists from Saint Joseph's University have exhibited their work in prestigious galleries around the globe. 

This diverse group of mentors painters, ceramicists, photographers, sculptors and art historians are also dedicated teachers who challenge and inspire you to develop your own self-expression and personal aesthetic. As artist/teachers themselves, they also serve as your role models.

Learning outcomes

While the art curriculum is designed to help you explore your artistic talent in studios and classrooms, you will also enroll in six foundation courses in the education department. During your senior year, you will take 12 credit hours in student teaching.
