Exercise and FitnessThe University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Kinesiology Major utilizes a strong scientific base and experiential learning component for students interested in the field of Kinesiology, the science of human movement.
The Exercise & Fitness Emphasis prepares students to work in the field of Kinesiology with healthy adults and stable patient populations to guide their fitness regimes.
In 2013, the Exercise & Fitness emphasis was awarded full accreditation status through 2018 by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) through the Committee on the Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES).

Healthcare ScienceThe University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Healthcare Science Program utilizes a strong scientific base to prepare students for further education in graduate or professional programs. Students in this program go on to attend medical school, physical therapy school, chiropractic school, etc.

This course guides the study of the principles of motor skill performance and learning and the application of these theories to physical activities, learners and various environments.
This course introduces students to psychological, or behavioral, aspects of sport, exercise, and physical activity. Students will explore factors that affect performance and psychological development and well-being.
The study of the body's physiological responses and adaptations to acute and chronic bouts of exercise. Training techniques and enhanced physical performance will be emphasized.
