This Healthcare Science (Medical Physics Technology) (Hons) programme from University of Cumbria will prepare you for an exciting career in fields such as cancer care, radiotherapy or nuclear medicine.

We’ve designed this relevant and modern course to give you a broad understanding of physical, biological, psychological and social sciences principles, but importantly, the flexibility to specialise in either radiotherapy physics, radiation physics or nuclear medicine.

Career:

This qualification can lead to a career as a dosimetrist within a radiotherapy department or a technologist working within nuclear medicine or PET/CT scanning. There is also a pathway for practitioners who wish to work in Radiation Protection and who wish to work with technology associated with diagnostic imaging.
