Faculty members of the Political Science and International Relations undergraduate programme from Izmir University of Economics, all of whom have been awarded degrees from well-respected American, European and Turkish universities, pursue a leading and innovative educational vision in the field. They have developed an extensive research and educational program on issue including Turkish politics, foreign and military policies, European Union, international organizations, public opinion, electoral behavior, democratization, human rights, social justice, immigration and citizenship.
The core and elective courses fall under four main subjects: international relations, comparative politics, political theory and Turkish politics. The curriculum is interdisciplinary in nature and incorporates fields such as history, law, philosophy, economics, sociology, geography and anthropology.
Our graduates find career opportunities within private and public sectors in Turkey and abroad, including the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Minister of EU Affairs, European Council, OSCE, IMF, World Bank, United Nations, development agencies, academia, media, and civil society organizations.
