The Department of Foreign Language Education - English Language Education at TED University aims to provide the next generation of English teachers with the highest quality of education that will equip them  with critical and creative thinking skills and global awareness who can contribute to English language education practices at national and international levels. 


Through high quality teaching and research, ELE faculty aim to achieve objectives that align with the 21stcentury challenges and help students have innovative, research-oriented, and technology-based learning experiences. The literature, general knowledge and science courses enable our students to internalize interdisciplinary relations.

The  variety of elective courses addressing the needs and interests of students in addition to the compulsory professional requirement courses, educational sciences courses, university core program courses, and s Second foreign language courses provide students with the opportunity to develop themselves both culturally and professionally.

Career Opportunities

The job opportunities for the graduates of the Department of Foreign Language Education - English Language Education at TED University are plentiful. Graduates from English Language Education Program can work at public schools as well as  private schools including TED Schools.  Additionally, they can work at the English Language Preparatory Programs of universities as instructors. They can also work in international programs/offices and educational services.

It is possible to work as academics or scientists if our graduates pursue their graduate education. In addition to these opportunities, they can work as tourist guides, interpreters, or translators in accordance with their personal interests and abilities.

In case our graduates choose a career out of the field, they have the chance to get promotion and become administrators easily under the favor of advanced English Language level they have.

General Requirements

  • A diploma of International Baccalaureate with a minimum total score of 28 out of 45
  • International Students may directly apply to undergraduate programs offered at TED University. Students who are in the last year of high school or graduated from a school equivalent to Turkish high schools may apply to undergraduate programs through an online application platform. Applicants are informed about their application evaluations by e-mail.
