Overview

This Mental Health Nursing (Hons) programme from Keele University adopts an approach to learning and teaching which focuses on service users using a recovery approach, and encourages you to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for the safe delivery of effective mental health care. All modules integrated theory and practice elements which contribute to admission to the Professional Register.

The development of clinical skills to support physical health is an integral part of the programme and is supported in practice by mentors and in the excellent Clinical Skills Laboratories by experienced lecturers.

Assessment is undertaken through using a variety of strategies including essay and examination and in practical laboratory and clinical situations.
