The European Studies programme offered by Kaunas University of Technology is an interdisciplinary programme with a unique perspective on Europe. It specifically targets the students who want to know political and economic integration processes, their participants, goals, causes, course and consequences in Europe from the global perspective.


Through the analysis of political processes, of what and how functions in the European Union, as well as through provided methodology, tips and tricks, studying and learning in multicultural environment, the graduates can actually make changes, influence the decision making process or apply the expertise in local and global companies, NGOs, public institutions.

                    English Language Requirements

                      The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.                       The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

                    Academic Requirements

                    • High school certificate (legalised by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, translated into English and notary verified).
                    • Maximum 3 years after high school graduation is eligible (otherwise additional entrance exams are organised by KTU).
                    • Minimum average grade (CGPA) > 60 % in each entry subject.
                    • Entrance score should be not lower than 2.

                    EU citizens and those whose parents or grandparents hold Lithuanian citizenship once are encouraged to apply for state funded places. Deadline is 10th of July.

                    The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.


                    The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania takes pleasure in offering Lithuanian state scholarships for full-time Master degree studies to study at Lithuanian higher education institutions. 

                    KTU may award scholarships for applicants with outstanding qualifications and for good academic results throughout studies (for all citizens). KTU also acknowledges possible grants from your home institutions and/or other relevant foundations/organisations.

                    Special discounts are applied for the EU-candidate countries citizens (Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey).
