As an Education major at Manhattanville College, you’ll learn all of that – and have the opportunity to gain experience by working inside a classroom, developing lesson plans, and observing others in action.


Prospective teachers must have many talents: You’ll have to demonstrate ability with knowledge and skills in specific areas and be able to convey that knowledge to others while demonstrating an appropriate professional disposition – and, of course, complete your required courses with satisfactory grades.

Admission to the School of Education at Manhattanville College is not automatically granted with acceptance to the College. Typically, you’ll apply to the School of Education during your sophomore year during while taking Fundamentals of Schools and Teaching (EDU 2000) or Foundations of Early Childhood Education (EDU 3017).
