English Language Requirements

You need the following IELTS score:

General Requirements

Entry to the Foundation Certificate generally requires you to have completed high school education. Exact entry requirements will vary depending on your country’s education system, as well as your progression degree subject at Nottingham Trent University. 

You will need to show proof of your English language ability by taking a UKVI IELTS exam. For the Foundation Certificate in Business, Law and Social Sciences, you will need to have a minimum English language level of 5.5 with no less than 4.5 in any skill.

If you do not meet this English language entry level, but have at least UKVI IELTS 4.0 in all skills, we can offer you a course that includes Extended English and Skills (EES).
