Overview

In order to earn a major in chemistry under the biochemistry track you must take at least 45 semester hours in chemistry.

In addition to the above courses, a certain number of upper division electives are also required for the biochemistry track. Considering the importance of molecular and human biology to biochemistry, students often take electives in biology, such as Cell Biology, Genetics, Endocrinology, etc., in order to help fulfill the elective requirements. 

Chemistry - Biochemistry electives are also routinely offered at the Augusta University. Work on an undergraduate research project with one of our faculty is also encouraged, and this can serve as an upper level elective as well.

A transfer candidate should ask the registrar from each college attended to send an official transcript of grades (a separate transcript from each college). 
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Testing Program (ACT) Scores: A freshman candidate is required to submit SAT scores of the College Board or the ACT score of the American College Testing Program.
