Our Printmaking program from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette emphasizes formal and conceptual development through traditional and alternative techniques. Students become proficient in the four fundamental printing processes of intaglio, relief, lithography, and silkscreen.

The Printmaking curriculum at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette fosters exploration into advanced black and white and color printing processes while providing a working knowledge of the history of printmaking.

In addition, students work in alternative printing processes involving photomechanical and computer assessed printmaking applications to expand on traditional techniques and presentations through experimentation with the mark, the matrix, and the multiple.
