The Health Science Program at University of Guam provides students with an overview of the knowledge and research of health and the application to health improvement, including the prevention and treatment of human diseases and other poor health outcomes. 

Overview

This program offers three concentrations: Exercise Science & Health Promotion, Pre-Physical Therapy, and Public Health.

  • The Health Science Program at University of Guam is necessary in providing a mass of health professionals needed to address the chronic and emerging infectious disease epidemic in Guam and neighboring islands in Micronesia.
  • The goal of this program is to prepare students for graduate studies in health science or for health professions where they will be involved in the identification, evaluation, treatment, and prevention of diseases and injuries; educating the public on prevention and self-management for healthy lifestyles; and designing, implementing, and evaluating programs necessary for promoting general wellness.

  • Submit transcripts. Have official high school and/or college transcript submitted from issuing institution directly to the UOG Office of Admissions & Records along with Release of Information and Signature Form. 
  • Demonstrate English proficiency. Take Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests and request for official scores to be sent directly to UOG's Office of Admissions & Rec
  • Submit immunization records (updated within six months for PPD and MMR 1 and 2) and Medical History form to Student Health Services. 
  • Submit copy of current passport and visa if you are currently under a U.S. visa.
  • Make adequate financial arrangements for the desired period of enrollment.
