Overview
This Biomedical Sciences program from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences, including Forensic Science.
Goals of the BIMS Program:
- Identify the career and vocational needs of students;
- Personalize the educational experience of the students by assisting them to connect with peers and potential future employers;
- Motivate and nurture students to find their niche in the various biomedical areas;
- Train students to be successful in biomedical careers commensurate with their interests, skills and abilities;
- Provide opportunities for students to do original research.
Programme Structure
- To improve the health and science levels of the southern Texas population through transformative biomedical education and research.
- The Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) program gives students a personalized educational experience to develop a route for biomedical –related careers, health programs, and the scientific workforce of the 21st century.
