Overview

The Theatrical Studies Option is intended for academically advanced students who want a broad-based study of the theatre discipline and who may then pursue interests in playwriting, management, dramaturgy, or theatre history/criticism. Some students may continue to graduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels. All theatre students complete a strong core of liberal arts courses. Students not admitted into the Acting or Musical Theatre Options may enter the program under Theatrical Studies and re-audition for the performance program they choose the following fall.
