  • You will explore and learn about the history, art, literature, and mythology of these people as well as how they loved, fought, worshiped, worked, played, lived, and died. You will also learn and come to realize how important they are as founders of our own culture in the 21st century.
  • If you wish to delve deeper into these civilizations, you can take advanced courses taught in English as well as a series of courses in ancient Greek and Latin. The best way to understand a culture is through the study of its language, which opens the door to its literature, art, and thought.
  • Also, we are one of the only programs nationwide using the advanced computer system "Perseus" that provides you with an interactive library of texts, slides, and videotape segments for an even deeper understanding of ancient Greece.
  • Several of the culture and language courses that we offer fulfill core curriculum requirements, and the language courses fulfill the language requirement for a bachelor of arts degree.
