Sociology

Overview

Majors in the Sociology program of The University of Toledo study the social lives of people, groups and societies. Students use scientific research methods and a critical lens to study behavior. We look at everything from short interactions between strangers on the street to global, social issues like human trafficking.

Sociology Bachelor's Degree Highlights

Service learning and internships. UToledo undergraduates bring theory to life by working in community, social and government agencies. Students also can study the effects of urban poverty in the Dominican Republic in an international field school launched by UToledo’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology in summer 2017.
