Students pursuing the human resource management area of emphasis develop a knowledge base suitable for careers such as compensation analyst, recruiter or training specialist. Students pursuing the international business area of emphasis are encouraged to study a foreign language and are instructed to participate in a study abroad program. They develop a knowledge base suitable in international business strategy and they acquire an appreciation of foreign culture and business practices. Students pursuing the small business/entrepreneurship area of emphasis pursue positions such as small business manager, entrepreneur, or franchise owner. Students pursuing the supply chain management area of emphasis develop the knowledge and skills to lead supply chain improvement projects, to function in supply chain teams and to perform or lead supply chain operations.

This accreditation assures students and prospective employers that the College’s programs adhere to the highest standards of excellence in nationally recognized business programs. Academic Requirements

Freshman:

  • Must have at least a 2.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must meet English Proficiency or request conditional admission and complete an Intensive English Program (IEP) application.
  • Please be advised that some Engineering majors may reach capacity and therefore will be restricted from entry.
  • For direct admission to some colleges and majors, SAT or ACT scores are required and must be sent to WVU directly from the respective testing services. For all other majors, international students are encouraged but not required to submit SAT or ACT scores, if available. SAT/ACT scores are useful for determining scholarship eligibility.
