Overview

This Economics 120 credit hour program at Indiana University South Bend is designed for the student who desires to gain an appreciation for how the economic system functions. The economics degree program provides an excellent foundation for the student who intends to work in business, government, or the nonprofit sector and for the student who wants to pursue graduate-level training in law, public administration, business administration, or other professional areas. Students must attain a grade of not less than a C in any of those courses marked with an asterisk (*).

Students who wish to earn a minor in economics are expected to complete the following requirements:

  • Register their intent with the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics.
  • Meet with an economics advisor prior to each semester’s registration.
  • Earn a minimum grade of C in all economics courses that count toward the minor.
