Overview

  • Examine forest ecosystems, sustainable forestry, forest management and watersheds in a program that enables you to balance the many demands placed on the nation’s forests as a future professional in this field. Experience hands-on opportunities and gain a solid scientific foundation in the areas of forest concepts, social factors and technical skills.
  • In this program, you will build the science-based knowledge for sound management of forest resources. You will study topics such as forest management and operations, disease and pest control, forest hydrology and ecology, geographic information systems, wildland fires, forest inventory, and more.
  • As a graduate of this Society of American Foresters accredited program, you will be prepared to balance the many demands placed on forests: from sustainable timber production and biomass for forest products, to recreation and wildlife habitat conservation, providing clean water and other forest ecosystem services.

    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

General Requirements

Recommended to have completed the following high-school courses: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, pre-Calculus.

You must submit:

  • An application for admission.
  • $60 application fee (nonrefundable).
  • ACT or SAT test scores. You may request copies of your ACT or SAT scores. If your ACT or SAT scores are on your school transcript, you do not need to have them sent separately.
  • Official high school transcript showing graduation date. If you have not yet graduated from high school, a transcript showing all completed work may be accepted for early admission.
  • Official transcripts from any colleges or universities attended.
