Overview
The Department of the Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Northern Illinois University utilizes the natural connections between geology, geography and atmospheric sciences to strengthen connections among faculty so that we may grow interdisciplinary research. Our undergraduate and graduate programs build upon out strengths in traditional areas, while expanding into new emerging areas.
Research
We're leaders of research in areas such as climate change, global warming, critical minerals and hydrogeology. You will have many opportunities to get involved. From investigating a particular area in one of our labs to participating in field schools and on-site research, you will gain skills while connecting with students and faculty.

- Grades: You must have passing grades equivalent to a U.S. C+ average on all transcripts and/or exam scores
