Key facts
Students are offered the opportunity to study abroad through La Coruna, a summer immersion program in Spain. Additional opportunities to study abroad are also offered through the Go Abroad program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A Major in Spanish at the Memorial University of Newfoundland consists of a minimum of 36 credit hours in Spanish chosen from the courses listed under the Spanish course descriptions. (It is strongly recommended that students in the Spanish Major Program complete Classics 1120 and 1121.)
Students are also offered the opportunity to go abroad through programmes such as La Coruna and there are also other opportunities to explore Spanish and related Hispanic studies through diverse work and study opportunities offered around the globe via the Memorial University Go Abroad program.
