Overview
Students of the Latin American Studies program of University of Central Florida gain a broad and thorough understanding of the Americas in terms of their historical, cultural, social, economic, and political dimensions. They also develop a basic proficiency in Spanish, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance multidisciplinary awareness and competence regarding the terminology and methods of various disciplines within the arts, humanities, and social sciences. The B.A. program can be completed online.
Graduates of the program will be prepared for graduate study in the humanities, social sciences, and law; for engagement with the growing and diverse populations; for careers in foreign service, military, and other governmental agencies; for careers in non-governmental organizations with an international orientation; and for careers in international business.
