Student Learning Outcomes

  • Identify and critically analyze the fundamental components and aesthetics of audio-visual storytelling.
  • Develop and write scripts for fiction and non-fiction audio-visual productions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of historical, cultural, critical, theoretical and emergent aspects of media arts.
  • Develop the skills necessary to produce, research and/or present an entertainment industry or other media project.

      PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

    Academic Requirements

    General Requirements

    • Complete the “International Online Application” at Cal State Apply. 
    • A $55.00 (US currency) non-refundable processing fee.
    • Affidavit of Financial Support (.pdf) and bank statement. 
    • All OFFICIAL secondary-school records.
    • Official English translations of all academic records including certificates, degrees or diplomas. 
    • Applicants who have studied in the U.S. are also required to have the U.S. institution(s) send official transcript(s) directly to CSUN.
    • Submit a copy of your passport information page with your documents.
    • Results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or other acceptable test (see table below). Scores must be sent directly to CSUN from the testing agency.
