About

Classics - Latin/Greek at the University of South Florida is a language-based interdisciplinary humanities field. We provide instruction in the Greek and Latin languages and in the Greek and Roman civilization, literature, mythology and religion.

Faculty specialize in diverse aspects of the Greek and Roman world (such as Greek poetry, Latin poetry, Roman historiography). Our department combines the intimacy of a small liberal arts college with the wide-ranging educational possibilities of a large state university.
